Shrine Visit Privacy Policy

Pleasure Lab ("we", "us") handles user information in the Android and iOS app "Shrine Visit" (Japanese name: 神社参拝; package name / bundle ID: com.pleasure_lab.jinja; the "App") as described below. This policy covers the App only. For our website and other services, see our Privacy Policy (Japanese).

1. Information we collect

The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, address, contacts, photos, or any other information that identifies you. There is no account registration.

However, to match the shrine's weather to the weather where you are, the App uses your device's approximate location (to within a few kilometers), only if you grant permission.

• Precise location is not collected. The App works without location permission (the weather is then chosen automatically).
• To get the weather, the App sends your latitude and longitude, rounded to about 0.1 degree (about 10 km), to the weather service Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). No name, email address, or device identifier is sent with it.
• Your location is not sent to or stored on our servers, and it is not used to track you.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following only on your device. It is not sent to us.

• Your visit coin balance and the status of today's coin grants
• Your omikuji (fortune) history (date/time and result; the latest 30 entries)
• Your settings, and purchase transaction IDs (kept so coins are never granted twice)

This data is deleted from your device when you uninstall the App.

3. In-app purchases

Visit coins are purchased through Google Play Billing (Google LLC) on Android and through In-App Purchase on the App Store (Apple Inc.) on iOS. Card numbers and other payment details are handled by Google or Apple, and we do not obtain or keep them. For how purchase information is handled, see the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising

The iOS version has no ads. The Android version may show rewarded video ads through Google AdMob as a way to earn extra visit coins. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your advertising ID, device information, and records of ad views and interactions. This information is collected by Google, and we do not receive it in a form that identifies individual users.

For details and your choices, see Google's advertising policies. You can turn off or reset ad personalization in Android under Settings > Privacy > Ads.

5. Sharing with third parties

Because we do not collect personal information through the App, we do not provide it to third parties. As described above, the rounded location goes to Open-Meteo to get the weather, and the information needed for purchases and ads goes to Apple and Google, each within the scope of those purposes.

6. Permissions

The only permission the App uses is approximate location (optional, to reflect your local weather). It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions.

You can change the location permission at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services; Android: Settings > Apps > Permissions).

7. Children

The App is not designed for a particular age group and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may revise this policy when we add features or when laws change. We will announce important changes on this page or by other appropriate means.
